At Redefine Wellness,  we offer a series of meditation workshops starting  to deepen your meditation journey. We understand that different people are at different stages of meditation journey. You can choose to attend the workshop which attracts you the most.

Learn to Meditate

Meditation is an approach to train the mind, similar to the way that fitness is an approach to train the body. It is the art of breaking habits, purifying the mind and taking care of day-to-day things with ease.

If you are pondering over the following questions, then this meditation programme is for you!

Programme Overview

It is extremely difficult for a beginner to sit for hours and think of nothing or have an “empty mind.” As such, we have designed this programme with simple yet proven effective techniques to help you through this process when you are starting out. You will learn various techniques including breathe, movement, sound and visualisation to help you ease into the practice and discover the most effective practice that works for you!

Mindfulness is not something one can learn from just reading it.   Mindfulness skills is cultivated by practice.

One day workshop ideal for those who are new to meditation or those who just want to know more about their mind and experience how to ‘be present’. It’s a great workshop for beginners.

This workshop consists of techniques designed to heighten our awareness and experience the present fully.

Program Overview

This one day workshop offers participants the central concepts of the practice and theory of mindfulness and the richness of immersion.

The workshop covers the principles and core techniques such as mindful breathing, sitting, attention, eating, and guided instruction in mindfulness practices.  It comprises an integrated sequence of exercises based on the concepts of modern mindfulness practices. The workshop is a highly practical with interactive sessions to learn ways of applying simple and realistic mindfulness activities into everyday life to support well-being at work and at home.  The techniques are cognitive behavioral, evidence-based and will be immediately useful and effective for you to apply in your day to day life.

Who can benefit from this workshop ?

All mindfulness workshops are open to the public, and the teaching is non-sectarian (not connected or affiliated with any particular religious or political belief).  No prior experience in meditation practice is required.

Mindfulness-based skills have become increasingly popular for well-being, health, clarity of thought, and work-life balance.  People from all walks of life attend our workshops as this self-management skills are used in a broad variety of settings such as community, workplace, business, management, healthcare, sports, educational, and psychology.  

Reasons for attending are as diverse as enhancing quality-of-life, improving interpersonal relationship, addressing stress and anxiety, mindful leadership, finding peace, and parenting wisely. The practice of mindfulness help us find clarity of mind, by allowing us to step away from habitual, reactive behaviors and respond skillfully rather than on auto-pilot.

  • You will learn tools and techniques in the workshop which you can practice at home, work, practically anywhere
  • Additionally, you will get hand-outs to take home to help guide you through the practice
  • Every 1st Friday of the month, Redefine Wellness hosts Meditation Connection. This is a ‘by invitation’ only meeting, where mediators come to meet like minded peers and clarify any doubts which they may have. We will review techniques or introduce a new technique during that time to deepen this practice. As a GRADUATE of ‘Redefine Mindfulness Meditation’ you will be welcome to join the Meditation Connection.

What else do I need to know?

It is recommended that you wear loose and comfortable clothing for some mindful movements.  You may wish to bring along a yoga mat/cushion/blanket if you have one for lying down, but it is no essential.

Jessica Sinclair, Chakra Meditation 2014

When the stresses of life’s rat race get to me, I try meditating to keep calm and clear my mind. But it would never work because whenever I close my eyes, all I would get were distractions from issues in my daily life just popping into my head. It felt like I was running at top speed at the same spot and getting nowhere.

Recently I have been feeling like there was a message that I was being told but I just could not hear. Having chanced upon Shirley’s Chakra Clearing and Healing meditation session online, I decided to give it a shot and see if I could clear my mind and hear the message. I really did not know what to expect because I have never even heard of chakra clearing before that.

That very first session, changed my life. Throughout the session my mind was crystal clear, and as she went through each individual chakra, I could feel energy being released. It was very amazing. When the session ended, I felt like I had just woken up from the best sleep of my life! I felt so light and refreshed! But that was not the end…

That very night, I experienced a Kundalini Awakening and that was the beginning of many amazing spiritual experiences.

Program Overview

This two day workshop offers participants techniques and meditations that had been kept secret for ages. It has been taught that meditations were all the same and that they consist of sitting and making the mind calm. As you will discover in this workshop, you get to discover and experience meditation in 2 different approaches.

One approach is the general training of the attention and ways to hold your awareness. It is like aerobics in physical exercises. It is a general toning for the body and the mind. It helps all your functions gradually and systematically.

The second approach is applying specific targeted techniques that focus on some aspect and projection of the mind and body. These are like training for specific events in sports. Some muscles are strengthened to match the challenge of a particular event. They are targeted, faster and give the practitioner a more detailed map of each area of the mind.

The workshop includes specific actions and targeted techniques such as exercises,breathing, postures, sound and guided techniques to counter your mind and master it.  The workshop is highly practical with interactive sessions to learn ways of approaching our goals at work, at home and with ourselves and will be immediately useful and effective for your own practice.
